I am an associate professor of Econometrics at the University "G. d'Annunzio" of Chieti-Pescara. In the past, I have had affiliations with numerous international institutions, including the Depatment of Economics at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., the Regional Research Institute at West Virginia University, the Department of City and Regional Planning at Cornell University, the Regional Economic Application Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and at the GeoDa center at Arizona State University. Additionally, I have held a position as an assistant professor at Universidad Catolica del Norte in Chile.

Currently, I serve as a co-editor of Spatial Economic Analisys; and I have been member on the editorial boards of Letters in Spatial and Resource Sciences and the Journal of Spatial Econometrics. Furthermore, I am a fellow of the Spatial Econometrics Association.

My research interests encompass spatial econometrics and statistics, urban and regional economics, computational methods and software development. Notably, I have developed R libraries for the application of Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) methods in spatial econometrics (sphet), the estimation of spatial panel data models (splm), the estimation of spatial regime models (hspm), and the estimation of spatial model with limited dependent variables (spldv).

My research has been published in numerous professional journals, and I have co-authored a book on Spatial Econometrics published by Elsevier.
