The PhD in Applied Sciences for Business Innovation (ASBI) falls within the broad field of studying transformation and transition processes that businesses and production systems are undergoing to adapt to the rapid changes in socioeconomic and technological landscapes. These shifts, initiated in the early 2000s, have accelerated during the pandemic and post-pandemic era, highlighting the need for applied research capable of interpreting and guiding such developments.

The program is distinguished by its strong applied focus in the fields of economic, business, and quantitative sciences, aiming to address research challenges relevant to both the productive system and institutions. Its training activities are designed to be immediately transferable to economic realities, fostering stronger territorial ties, knowledge transfer, and support for public policy decisions.

The ASBI PhD Program offers the opportunity to pursue industrial doctoral paths.

An industrial PhD is a research doctorate designed to foster collaboration between academia and the productive sector. The goal is to train highly qualified researchers who can develop advanced scientific skills directly applicable to the needs of businesses and institutions.
